Liana Yew is a yoga teacher, dancer and mum. She was introduced to Yoga while completing her degree in contemporary dance in Unitec’s performing arts programme.
Liana’s dance career spans over 18 years and has led her to regularly practice many different movement styles and modalities. She has additionally explored many body alignment practices, including Alexander Technique, Klein Technique, Qi Gong, Zero balancing and Pilates.
Liana loves working with a hands on approach to learning, discovering and developing our own experience of what yoga is and can be.
She enjoys incorporating her embodied experience to help students find a deeper understanding of themselves. Her classes create stability, mobility and bring a sense of freedom to both mind and body.
Liana has studied under master teachers Sharon Lightfoot (Iyengar), Debra McCulloch (Alexander Technique) and for the last 4 years has been mentored and worked with Vincent Bolletta (Contemporary Centre for Yoga Studies).
“I consider myself as a lifelong student of Yoga and continually adapt and shift with life’s current’s. I love learning from Vincent, my peers and students”.
