The Meditation Retreat with Sannyasi Pragyadhara will cover:

  • Dynamic forms of meditation; chanting, walking, mala
  • Deep relaxation with Yoga nidra (lying meditation)
  • Yoga philosophy; the Koshas and their connection to meditation
  • Lifestyle integration; how to embody yogic routines & rituals

Retreat guest will take home:

  • Audio files for self-practice
  • Links to resources & further inspiration
  • Connection with a yogic community (Sangha)

Customize the schedule according to your needs. Dinner is catered & included in the retreat package. Healthy (vegan & gluten free) breakfast & lunch options are available for purchase at Prema cafe onsite. A small retreat guest kitchen can be used for self-catering. Wellness treatments, the use of spa & sauna can be booked separately.

The retreat starts on Friday evening with a welcome dinner and ends on Sunday afternoon at 5 pm. The schedule looks as follows:

  • 7:15 pm Yogic lifestyle

Sunday 27 September

  • 7 am Morning class with Sannyasi Pragyadhara
  • 9:45 am Class review & meditation theory
  • 11:45 am Yoga Nidra & Swadhyaya (self-study) time
  • 3 pm Workshop with Sannyasi Pragyadhara
  • 4:30 pm Q&A and closing at 5 pm

All classes are with Sannyasi Pragyadhara and take place in Kahikatea venue.

  • 2 nights accommodation in Private Room (communal bathroom facilities)

Sannyasi Pragyadhara is Senior Lead Trainer on the Yoga Teacher Trainings at Kawai Purapura. She has immersed herself over years at the Bihar School of Yoga in North India, and is currently back in New Zealand. Her dedication and clarity in teaching speak of a deep and alive connection with Yoga.

Pragyadhara teaches weekly courses in Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Meditation at her home studio in Torbay and at Kawai Purapura Retreat Centre. She is the Director of Pure Yoga and regularly offers events, retreats and specialty immersions throughout New Zealand. She loves gathering community to connect to the authentic roots of Yoga.
