Yoga Nidra is a meditational technique that supports deep relaxation and healing on all levels of Being. The technique works directly on the mind to let go of impressions from the past, anxieties about the future and of tension in the muscles, the breath and the nervous system. This module focuses on the intricacy of the practice and discovery of its yogic origins, along with its application as an effective tool to manage stress and many psychosomatic illnesses. You will learn to effectively deliver this profound and popular technique in a safe, systematic and progressive way.
The module includes Basic Breathing Methods, which encourage optimal breathing patterns and correct poor breathing habits that may either depress or agitate the nervous system, mind and emotions. Basic Breathing Methods form one of the essential stages of Yoga Nidra and are effective tools for inducing calmness and clarity in any given situation. Furthermore, you will learn how to teach and integrate restorative yoga into your classes. This particular practice heals, nurtures and supports the development of an individual yoga practice. It induces the free flow of energy and thereby helps to remove blockages and promotes optimal functioning in the joints, muscles and spine. Through creative visualisation and guided meditation the subtle body manifests and awakens us to new realms of experience and understanding.
