The Yoga Teacher Training takes place in Whare Kahikatea, a large open space with polished wooden floor, a high ceiling and wood-burning fireplace. The expansive windows look out over a grassy plain, sheltered by a tree canopy, a gentle flowing stream and the Teepee.
The venue is an ideal environment for you to pursue self-exploration, growth as a person and to (re-)discover peace and wellbeing.
Yoga mats, bolsters, cushions and blankets are provided for your comfort while attending the various workshops and classes of your training.
The Prema building, at the heart of Kawai Purapura, encompasses our reception, a dining area, the cafe, a kitchen and lounge.
This space has a wonderful ambiance with an open fire place, sunny bush-clad outlooks and expansive decks. Enjoy a chai or coffee around the fire place or relax on the sunny deck during your breaks. Prema cafe provides breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Prema is always a good place to meet other guests, residents and volunteers as everyone loves this place.
During your Yoga Teacher Training you are welcome to use Kawai Purapura’s facilities such as the swimming pool, the sauna and the spa.
The Spa hot tub (max 6 people) and the sauna (max 2 people) can be booked separately for $15 per 1 hour session. Both can be booked together for 1 hours use for $20. It is free to use if you booked accommodation at Kawai Purapura. All reservations must be booked through reception.
The 25-metre, non-chlorinated, solar-heated pool is the perfect spot to unwind and exercise, especially in the summer season.
