150 hours Advanced Yoga Teacher Training module
3-22 October 2020
The traditional Hatha practices of Asana, Pranayama and Meditation are a proven system that opens the body, frees the breath, reveals the contents of your mind and silences the ego, giving you the gift of self-awareness. Tantric practices like Kumbhaka, Bandha, Mudra, Mantra and Kriya are a set of precise tweaks that bring forth complete illumination of the Self. Together they are Tantric Hatha. It is the subtle refinement of the Yoga practices we already know. This system deals primarily in energetics and yet the beauty of this practice lies in its practicality. Rather than tucking ourselves away to devote ourselves to spirituality, Tantra insists that we empower ourselves, illuminate our lives and thrive! Taken with dedication, Tantric Hatha is a stable, sustainable transformation modality that has a lasting effect.
It is this concept that fascinated Amy Bassett from Jai Yoga, and through her explorations into Tantric Hatha, she is now a Senior Graduate of world-class school, The Practice, Bali. She dedicates her life to giving both students and teachers a solid format for energetic exploration and to sharing these teachings that brighten the light of self-knowledge.
Thogether with the 150 hours module “Yoga Nidra & Restorative Yoga” this training builds up to the RYT500 registration with Yoga Alliance U.S.

Amy Bassett‘s life has been permeated with unusual experiences of energy. Discovering Tantric Hatha gave her the ‘language’ to put these sublime experiences into words and a format to be able to use them in a functional way. Yoga helped to heal Amy from childhood traumas, substance abuse and ancestral pain. Tantra has set her life on fire! She has now committed her life to learning the tradition, becoming fluent in this language of energy and guiding others on their path and in their studies. She has a particular passion for helping others, especially women, to find their voice and speak their truth.
After gaining her first qualification in 2016, Amy taught in studios and privately in New Zealand, Australia and Qatar, where she had the good fortune of teaching a diverse range of Yogis from all walks of life and levels of practice. She has led Beginners Courses (Yama Yoga); run her own public classes and workshops (Koha Yoga); lectured on Yoga Teacher Trainings and studied obsessively since. Alongside 730 Hours of certified training, she has attended workshops on Spinal Health, Pregnancy and other topics with Allison West, Alissia Clifton and Patrick Beach respectively. It is her privilege to share this philosophy with you. Amy is E-RYT200 with Yoga Alliance.
