Tantrik Hatha workshops: Sun 14 March ONLINE | Sun 18 April | Sat 8 May 2021

Amy Bassett will share some of the logical magic of Tantrik Hatha with you in a one-day workshop called ‘Energy & Awareness’.
Responding to the shifting environment, we have decided to take the one-day workshop online… It is a little sad that we can’t gather at Kawai Purapura but seems appropriate to keep everyone safe. We still want to share the love with you and so we’re taking this workshop online for a one-day online retreat… at your place!

Teacher Amy Bassett will zoom into your space to share the practices and knowledge that form the foundation of the Tantrik Hatha system… Set up your mat, prepare some delicious, nourishing kai for your breaks and treat yourself to a day of self-love filled with energetic practice and wisdom downloads.

  • How do Tantra and Hatha relate?
  • How do these two relate to Energy & Awareness?
  • What does it mean to practice ‘Tantrik Yoga’?
  • What is Tantra exactly?
This workshop is designed to clarify Tantrik Hatha for beginners and teachers alike. It is also a great introduction to the Moon Sun Fire methodology for yoga teachers wishing to join the Advanced Training over 150 hours in Tantrik Hatha. The next course will be held in June and July at Kawai Purapura.
PRACTICE IS THE KEY.
In this one-day workshop, you will

Kawai Purapura Yoga School is proud to be the first Yoga School in New Zealand to offer a complete Tantrik Hatha teacher training. The first group of students graduated in October 2020 and we are excited to run this course again in 2021. Amy Bassett is a Certified Senior Trainer with The Practice in Bali and has been involved in teacher trainings in Australia before coming home to New Zealand to share these teachings with us.

Tantrik Hatha is not to be confused with Neo-Tantra that is associated with touch and sexual practices. We distance ourselves clearly from this movement and focus solely on traditional Tantrik Hatha practices that use Asana, Pranayama and Meditation for personal empowerment.

She has now committed her life to learning the tradition, becoming fluent in this language of energy and guiding others on their path and in their studies. She has a particular passion for helping others, especially women, to find their voice and speak their truth.

After gaining her first qualification in 2016, Amy taught in studios and privately in New Zealand, Australia and Qatar, where she had the good fortune of teaching a diverse range of Yogis from all walks of life and levels of practice.
