  • learn how to instruct a 4, 6 , 7 and 8 stage Yoga Nidra
  • Yoga Nidra for various health conditions: research findings & applications

  • 9 days residential immersion: 30 April – 9 May 2021 at Kawai Purapura Retreat Centre
  • home practice 4 weeks before and after the training, using audio files

Certification:

The Yoga Nidra training is certified as Continuing Education (70 hours) with Yoga Alliance U.S. Registered Yoga Teachers can add these hours to their profile. All participants receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the training.

Is this the right training for me?

The training is designed for:

  • yoga practitioners who want to delve deeper in their personal practice and learn how to manage stress effectively.
  • yoga teachers who want to develop a new skill and deepen their understanding of yogic concepts and lifestyle.
  • health professionals who are looking for an effective tool to support clients. Research proves that Yoga Nidra benefits people suffering from anxiety, chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, sleeping difficulties, obesity, addiction.

Yoga Nidra does not involve physical movement. The 9 days immersion does involve yoga classes with postures and breathing techniques, however these classes are restorative and rather gentle.

Accommodation

It is highly recommended to book accommodation onsite for the immersion experience. Training days are from 7am until 8:30pm at night, including meal breaks.

Students choose from the following accommodation options:

9 nights in Private Room: $450

Communal bathroom facilities. Use of the retreat guest kitchen included.

9 nights Marae style: $225

Sleeping in the yoga venue. Mattress, fitted sheet, pillow, pillow case provided. Bring your own sleeping bag / blanket.

9 nights Camping: $180

Camping on the grass area in the orchard. Bring your own equipment.

Limited Private Rooms with ensuite bathroom and kitchenette are available (rate $85-110 / night). Please inform the course coordinator early if you wish to book one of these rooms to avoid disappointment.

Catering

A small retreat guest kitchen is available for self-catering. Like the rest of the Retreat Centre, this space is vegetarian and alcohol free. Kawai Purapura is just a stroll away from Westfield Albany, a shopping mall with various supermarkets, food shops and organic stores.

Prema cafe onsite prepares healthy options for breakfast and lunch. There is always a vegan and gluten-free option available. Please let us know in advance to the Yoga Teacher Training what your dietary requirements are. A catering package for breakfast and dinner might be available during the training. Details will be emailed out to students closer to course start.
